Coach Lance Zimmerman

Lance brings extensive coaching experience across the rec, club, high school, and college levels. He served as Assistant Coach for Pepperdine University’s Men’s MCLA team (2012) and as Offensive Coordinator for Harvard Westlake’s Varsity Boys, helping lead them to the 2013 Los Angeles CIF Championship. Currently, he is Head Coach for Hereford High School’s JV Girls Lacrosse team and also coaches Limelight’s 2031 and 2034 Green Teams.

A Cockeysville native, Lance grew up playing rec and travel lacrosse before starring at the Gilman School, where he was part of the 1998 and 2000 MIAA Championship teams that finished ranked #1 nationally. In 2000, he earned All-City/County, All-Metro, All-State, and All-American honors and was recognized as a Blue Chip recruit by Inside Lacrosse. He went on to start four years at midfield for the University of North Carolina. Post-college, Lance represented the Netherlands internationally, playing in the 2006 World Championships and captaining the team to a Silver Medal in the 2008 European Championships.

Coach Ashleigh

Coach Cassidy

Coach Cassidy is a former two-sport collegiate athlete, competing in both field hockey and lacrosse at Gettysburg College.

She has spent the past six years coaching youth lacrosse and field hockey, sharing her love of the game and helping athletes grow in skill and confidence. Off the field, she works as an ICU nurse at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Coach Crystal

Christyl Akseraylian, formerly Christyl Arrabal, is a seasoned coach and former collegiate athlete with a long-standing commitment to athletic excellence and youth development. A dual-sport athlete and Hall of Fame inductee in both her high school and college years, Christyl has brought her competitive drive and knowledge of the game to coaching field hockey and lacrosse for the last five years.  


Christyl played field hockey and lacrosse at Washington College, where she earned numerous accolades, including:

2012 Inductee into the Athletic Hall of Fame

8 time All-Centennial performer across 3 sports; 3 First Team Selections

First Team All-American in Field Hockey

Consistently ranked among team leaders in defensive statistics in lacrosse and still holds the career assist record for Washington College in Field Hockey 

Recipient of the Eldridge Eliason Award, given to the senior male student and female student who, with scholastic standing in the upper half of the class, has accomplished the most in the field of athletics.

Recipient of the Doris T. Bill Award, given to the senior female athlete with the high GPA.


Christyl has spent the last five years coaching field hockey and lacrosse in the local community with Hereford Rec, Hereford Hockey Club, Maryvale Middle School Field Hockey and Limelight Lacrosse Club. Her coaching emphasizes teamwork, positive mindset, and love for the game, all values she lived as a player and now instills in her athletes.


Coach Patrick

Baltimore native, two-year varsity defenseman at Boys’ Latin, member of the 1997 Boys’ Latin Undefeated National HS Championship Team, 98’ John Ehrhardt Team Spirit Award. Four-year varsity defenseman Dickinson College- 2000 Unsung Hero Award, 2002 Commitment and Leadership Award. Entering his third year coaching the Limelight 2031 Blue team, coached Hereford Rec Lacrosse as well as soccer and basketball for the last 5 years. Daughters Shannon and Kendall both play for Limelight teams, Shannon is in her 3rd year with Limelight 31 and Kendall is finishing her first year on the 2034 team.

Coach Carrie

Born and raised in the Hereford zone, I attended Maryvale Prep for Highschool and University of Maryland, College Park from 1999-2003. I was a competitive Junior Olympic diver For UMD and played lacrosse for UMD. My husband and I reside in the hereford zone on our dairy farm with our 4 children! 

Coach Sunni

Born and raised in the heart of Monkton, Sunni is a passionate lacrosse player and coach with deep roots in the sport. She honed her skills at Maryvale Preparatory School before going to Washington College, where she competed at the collegiate level. In 2021, Sunni began her coaching journey with Hereford Rec’s “Dream Team to the Moon,” igniting her love for mentoring young athletes. Since then, she has been one of the many driving forces behind the Limelight 2032 Lightning team, coaching alongside Carrie, Nick, Kris, and Lance for about five years. Under their leadership, the team has soared, clinching the NGLL championship in 2024 and dominating tournaments like Aloha, Top of the Bay, and NXT, to mention a few. Sunni’s dedication to her players and the sport continues to inspire excellence both on and off the field. Sunni and her husband, Lance, reside in Sparks with their 3 daughters, Saylor, Ridgely and Tinsley, and 2 chocolate labs, Huckleberry and Finn.

The Limelight 2034 coaching staff is a passionate, experienced group dedicated to developing confident, well-rounded athletes who love the game of lacrosse. With a background in both youth and high school coaching, we focus on growing every player’s skill, leadership, and understanding of team culture—both on and off the field.


Our coaching style is energetic, positive, and player focused. We emphasize effort, accountability, and smart team play, while always keeping the experience fun and uplifting. Limelight players are known for their hustle, sportsmanship, and ability to compete at a high level—all while having fun.

Coach Greg

With 30+ years of playing and 15 years of coaching, Greg Sabo brings deep knowledge, passion, and leadership to every team he works with. From youth leagues to high school and competitive clubs, he is dedicated to developing players of all levels while instilling a love for lacrosse.

A four-year letter winner and captain at UMBC (1993–1997), Sabo still holds the program’s career shooting percentage record—a testament to his efficiency and smart play.

As a coach, he emphasizes fundamentals, discipline, and passion, breaking down complex skills into age-appropriate drills that build confidence. Known for his positivity, patience, and commitment, Coach Sabo takes the most pride in inspiring kids to grow both as athletes and as people.

Coach Mike

Coach Mike played lacrosse at Hereford High School, where he captained the team to the 2000 1A-2A-3A Maryland State Championship and earned First Team All-County honors as a goalie. A multi-sport athlete in lacrosse, golf, and basketball, he believes well-rounded athletes make the best lacrosse players. Mike continued his career at Penn State University, earning Academic All-Big Ten honors and still competes in field and box lacrosse tournaments at both goalie and attack/forward. A USA Lacrosse Level II Certified coach, Mike brings a fast, free-playing style to the field and focuses on helping players trust their instincts to compete at full speed. 

Coach Sunni

Coach Anna

I'm thrilled to step into the role of Head Coach for the 2034 Blue Team! Lacrosse is a sport I'm truly passionate about, and there's nothing better than watching young athletes grow, develop their skills, and build lasting friendships- while having a great time on the field. I'm also excited to have my brother-in-law, Scott Swift, joining me as Assistant Coach. Together, we’re committed to creating a fun, positive environment while helping each player take their game to the next level.

Coaches: Sarah Goodson, Tracey Hanley, Meg Thomas, Andy Heyman

This past year 2035 Green won MYLA and Lax Splash! The coaching staff is made up of women who have played the sport their whole lives, up to the collegiate level, who have also coached many age groups over the years, and are career educators. 

Coach Sarah

A 2010 graduate of Salisbury University, and member of the 2010 NCAA Division III National Championship team. She earned Division III First Team All-American honors in both 2009 and 2010 and was named the Division III National Defender of the Year in back-to-back seasons. Inducted into the Salisbury University Athletics Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2021.

She brings over 15 years of coaching experience across all age groups, including collegiate coaching roles at Saint Francis University (Assistant Coach, Recruiting Coordinator, Defensive Coordinator, 2012–2013) and Goucher College (Head Coach, 2019–2022).

A native of Baltimore County and graduate of Dulaney High School (Class of 2005), she was a member of the first women's lacrosse team in school history to win a state championship. She now lives in Parkton with her husband Joey and three kids, Cooper, Mackie, and Quinn.

Coach Tracey

Coach Tracey has coached lacrosse, in varying capacities, since 2006 – from high school junior varsity and varsity girls to high school US Lacrosse national tournament teams to Hereford Recreation girls’ lacrosse.

Last year, she helped lead the 2035 Limelight girls’ team to HOCO and Lax Splash Championships. While in college herself, she played for the inaugural York College Women’s Lacrosse team.

Coach Hanley believes in focusing on skill development, teamwork, and fostering love for the game. When not coaching, she enjoys spending time with her two kids, Dean and Tessa, and her husband John playing sports, exercising, and being outside. 


Coach Hanley is committed to creating a positive, competitive, and fun environment for players to reach their potential.

Coach Meg

Coach Meg and lacrosse were love at first sight. She started playing at age 5 and grew up in the Baltimore area playing. Meg played club in college but quickly came back to the sport full time upon graduating coaching Varsity at Central York High School and playing in an adult league. When Meg started her teaching career with BCPS she quickly took on the role of Varsity head coach at Pikesville High School.


After her second child, she decided to step back and focus on coaching her own kids. In the past few years she has coached ages kindergarten through 6th grade at both the rec and club level for lacrosse, while also coaching soccer and field hockey. This will be Meg’s 3rd year coaching with Limelight. 

Coach Andy

Coach Andy has been involved with competitive team sports his entire life, including lacrosse, soccer and many others. His passion for sports and teaching with a fun, focused approach shines through his coaching.

This team is our youngest in the entire Hereford Club Lacrosse program. We will play in the Maryland Youth Lacrosse Association or MYLA. The rules of this league allow us to focus on development. It is a wonderful chance to get real club exposure, build skills, teamwork, accountability, commitment, self-motivation, honesty and integrity. We will make sure that everyone is having fun and loving the game of lacrosse. We also want to win.

Coach David

Born in Anne Arundel County and a Baltimore County resident for the last 15 years. David played on the Championship team at Archbishop Spalding in 2001 and was captain on the Club Lacrosse championship team at University of Maryland in 2007. 2024 was his first year being involved with Limelight Lacrosse as an Assistant on the 34 team. Two of his three daughters play for the Limelight Lacrosse club, Jane entering her second year and Josie starting her first year with the 36s.
